My Mission

The mission is simple: I want you to leave my office after every session feeling like you can conquer new tasks each day. Whether your goal is to heal an old injury that's preventing you from using your full range of motion, or to be able to cook your family dinner without being in excruciating pain, my goal is to get your body functioning at a higher level in order to accomplish just that. Your goals are my goals, you can count on that.

Methods and Techniques that influence Heather's Integrative Bodywork Sessions

Intraoral Massage

Great for folks who need pain and tension relief from TMJ syndrome, night grinders, stress clenchers, migraine-sufferers, and those recovering from trauma to the face, chin, head, etc.

Body and Soul Aromatherapy Oil Massage

Best for general full-body relaxation. Long, luxurious strokes, and light-medium pressure are combined with Young Living Essential oils of your choice to give you a truly special deep experience.

Traditional Thai Yoga Massage

Not for those looking to fall asleep during their massage. Thai massage combines elements of Chinese acupuncture and Indian yoga. You will be stretched slowly and firmly in yoga-like positions, and acupressure points will be targeted using medium-firm pressure for improved circulation, muscle health and dexterity, and overall balance. Performed on a massage table.

Deep Tissue Therapeutic Massage

Slow, deep strokes with very little oil are used to break apart adhesions (knots) in the muscles for ultimate pain relief.

Energy Work

Gentle acupressure points will be held to remove energy blockages, balance energy flow, and to release hyper sensitive trigger points in muscles usually when the body is in a state of flight/fight/freeze.

Somatic Breathing and Stretching Techniques

This interactive method of bodywork employs gentle guided stretching and breathing and helps you to make a mind and body connection to areas of your body experiencing muscular amnesia due to chronic pain, tightness, limited range of motion, chronic stress, etc. Increases breathing capacity and ease by releasing fascia surrounding the diaphragm, rib cage, and thoracic spine and calming the nervous system down. Increases ROM of shoulders, helps to gently and slowly increase body proprioception and awareness of movement.

Sports Massage

Both pre and post performance styles available. Assisted stretches and quick compressions among other techniques are used to prevent and stop muscle spasms, cramps, fatigue, pain, and injury.

Trigger-Point Release Therapy (Myofascial) **

A 15-minute assessment will precede the actual massage. This will consist of a few background questions about injuries, habits, pain, etc. and me guiding you through ranges of motion that I will record and take note of any imbalances I see. 1-2 body parts will be the focus of this session. This treatment can be intense and you may be slightly sore the next day but the end result is long term pain relief, improved range of motion, extremely effective adhesion and scar tissue reduction for healthier muscles that can better support your skeletal structure. A 5-minute reassessment after your massage may show you immediate results, although sometimes the full benefits won't be seen or felt for a few days.

Neuromuscular Reprogramming (NMR)

This technique requires about 15 minutes of gathering your background and history of injuries, surgeries, falls, problem areas, etc. Passive range of motion (ROM) techniques and 2-second, light resistance muscles tests will be used to gather information and determine which muscles to release in order to activate inhibited/inactive muscles/ Some or all of the following techniques may be used during your session: Guided meditation, trigger-point release (MFT) gentle and rhythmic rocking and shaking techniques, deep tissue, assisted stretching, and more.

Prices for integrative bodywork sessions:

60 Minutes  -  $120

75 Minutes  -  $140

90 Minutes  -  $160

120 Minutes  - $200
